    Welfare Support Workers are here to help you with any benefit or Fife Council issue.  The team can help with:

    • filling in forms (e.g. application forms, some benefit forms, Scottish Welfare Fund applications.  Please note, we cannot help with PIP, DLA or Work Capability Forms)
    • accessing computers
    • getting referrals to local services
    • finding a job and accessing adult learning courses
    • starting and maintaining benefit claims, such as Universal Credit
    • helping you to understand your payments, claimant commitment or using the Universal Credit system.
    • setting up an email account

    Sessions are on drop in basis, no appointment necessary.

    Welfare Support Workers, and Adult Basic Education are here to help you with seeking a job!  They can help with:

    • building a CV
    • accessing computers
    • setting up an email account
    • learning basic computer skills
    • accessing further courses
    • help with literacy and numeracy
    • accessing, maintaining and understanding your Universal Credit profile.
    • keeping up to date with your claimant commitment
    • job searching and applying for jobs

    Community Job Clubs are very casual, and you don't need to make an appointment.  You can stay as long as you want too!

    The Fife Law Centre are here to assist you if you have mortgage or rent arrears and are threatened by eviction, if you have complex welfare benefits issues such as an appeal to Upper Tribunal or overpayment of benefits.  The law centre can also provide assistance with adults with incapacity, child law, criminal injuries compensation claims and other miscellaneous issues. The Law Centre does NOT deal with Criminal Law, Immigration Law, applying for benefits or any other matters covered by High Street Solicitors.

    If you would like Fife Law Centre to assist you, pop along to one of their drop ins, or you can  contact them by telephone or email. Each case will be assessed on an individual basis and will contact you directly with a decision on whether or not they can help.
