June brought challenges for many, especially for those trying to get emergency food. We sent 20 vouchers to the local foodbank, as many people are really struggling to make ends meet. However, we noticed a massive decrease in the amount of people requiring help with housing advice, and our partners at Frontline Fife have reported the same. For the full report – click below:
Overall, we’ve noticed an increase in footfall, with the addition of the Fife Law Centre, Community Job Club and Digital Skills Advice sessions. Wednesdays are proving to be busy, along with Mondays and Fridays, but Tuesdays and Thursdays proving to be quieter.
We also started a Pop-Up Hub in the Dunfermline Foodbank on a Friday from 4-6pm. Those who attend the foodbank are getting further signposting help from our workers, and if needed, a referral or appointment with one of our partners in the following week.
