Who Are We?

The Dunfermline Advice Hub is a collaborative project, led by the Dunfermline Poverty Action Group.

The DPAG work in partnership, delivering a better, more joined-up service for the Dunfermline community.  By working together, we hope to help those in crisis access services easily and quickly, as well as helping the community to prevent crisis in the first place.  We meet regularly throughout the year, sharing good practice and experiences, and discussing what we can do better.

This project is supported by:

The Dunfermline Advice Hub Team:

Katie Thomson, Advice and Information Coordinator
Katie oversees the overall running of the Dunfermline Advice Hub, and runs the daily General Advice and Signposting service.  Katie works closely with the partner organisations and the community, finding ways to work closer and smarter, as well as highlighting gaps in services.

Juliet Matipano, Partnership Development Coordinator
Juliet works closely with the Hub’s partners, to build better working relationships and create a service that works for the people of Dunfermline.  Juliet completed a consultation recently, where she gathered lots of feedack on our service from all our stakeholders and partners, to find out how we can work more effectively together.  This project was supported by the Aspiring Communities Fund, and she is now in a temporary post to help facilitate actions from the consultation.

Volunteers
We have a team of volunteer advisers that assist Katie with the daily General Advice and Signposting service. Using their unique experience and wisdom, we offer an empathetic service, matching clients with the right support service.
