Who Are We?

The Dunfermline Advice Hub is led by Furniture Plus Ltd, and is run in partnership with the Dunfermline Poverty Action Group (DPAG).  The DPAG is attended by charities, local organisations, and local authority departments.  By working together, we hope to help those in crisis access services easily and quickly, as well as helping the community to prevent crisis in the first place.  We meet regularly throughout the year, sharing good practice and experiences, and discussing what we can do better.

The day-to-day running of the Hub is the responsibility of the Hub Staff:

Katie Thomson, Advice and Information Coordinator
Katie oversees the overall running of the Dunfermline Advice Hub, and runs the daily General Advice and Signposting service.  Katie works closely with the partner organisations and the community, finding ways to work closer and smarter, as well as highlighting gaps in services.

Volunteers
We have a team of volunteer advisers that assist Katie with the daily General Advice and Signposting service. Using their unique life experience and wisdom, we offer an empathetic service, matching clients with the right support service.
