July Report

We were delighted to welcome the British Red Cross Friendship Group! They will be here every Monday from 1:30-3pm for anyone who’d like to have a chat and build friendships.  The Well also started this month, to help anyone access local information and support that promote health and wellbeing.  They’re here every Tuesday from 10-12pm.

Over the Summer, we were involved in a pilot project called Food For Your Future.  Fife Council, the Tryst Centre and FareShare teamed up to deliver sessions in the local community, inviting community members to have their say in a food-waste prevention project. Participants were invited to take part in group discussions, share ideas, see what volunteering opportunities could be available, and also got to take home a bag  of groceries for free! There was lots of interest, ideas and volunteers who wanted to get involved to take this forward!

And lastly, the Hub is now a Dementia Friendly Space! We received training on dementia, which challenged our perception of dementia, and helped us understand the issues people with dementia face.
